Most move-out walkthroughs are decided in the kitchen. Property managers open the oven, pull out the refrigerator drawers, look on top of the cabinets, and run a finger along the range hood. Those four spots account for more deposit deductions than the rest of the apartment combined.
In the bathroom it's grout, the exhaust fan cover, the inside of the medicine cabinet, and the floor behind the toilet. In bedrooms and living areas it's closet shelves, window tracks, baseboards, and blind slats. Under every appliance and inside every drawer is fair game.
A proper move-out clean takes an empty home from top to bottom in that order: high dusting, cabinets and closets inside and out, appliances, bathrooms, windows and tracks, walls and baseboards, and floors last. It's a full day for a typical two-bedroom.
If you're moving within the Eastside, Seattle, or South King County, we can clean the old place the day after your boxes leave and the new place the day before they arrive. Both count as a first visit for the 20% new-client discount if you're new to us.
